Best cafés to work in Nuremberg
Germany
Working remotely from Nuremberg
Nuremberg lies in northern Bavaria, in the Franconia region, and is the centre of the Nuremberg metropolitan area. The city on the Pegnitz river is best known for its medieval-influenced old town, with its city walls and the Imperial Castle. It is also a modern hub for business, trade fairs and higher education.
The main station sits right next to the old town and offers long-distance connections to many German cities. The airport can be reached by underground, and within the city the underground, trams and buses keep journeys short. Many destinations are also easy to reach on foot or by bike.
Nuremberg's café scene ranges from traditional coffeehouses to small roasteries and modern specialty cafés. Numerous venues can be found in the old town, along the Pegnitz and in districts such as Gostenhof, the Südstadt and St. Johannis.
For working, quieter cafés with power outlets and Wi-Fi are the best choice, especially in the morning and on weekdays. Students, freelancers and remote workers often enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. It is worth checking each café's laptop policy and busy times in advance.
